Images and Words~~~The Look of Nature

It's been some time since I've been able to participate in "Images and Words".  My life stays very busy with work and school, but I have missed it.
When I saw this weeks theme, a photo I had taken came to mind.  I shot this picture on my way to Ga. when my Sister-in-law had passed away.  We came into this small place in the early hours of the morning.  It's called "Banks Lake".  The fog was thick over the lake, and to me, the cypress trees seemed to be posed in an elegant and mystical dance, all their own.  It was hauntingly beautiful, and so very peaceful.
Banks Lake is also a wild life refuge, and I hope to one day go back, and spend a day there, just taking pictures.
All that said, here's my entry for this weeks theme....

  3. Linda this shot is so special and the quote is perfect for it. This would look great on a wall in a home. I can see it over a bed somewhere.

  4. That is so mystical and beautiful! I love that there's no horizon line cuz of the fog.

BTW, Ansel Adams felt that most people made a major mistake when photographing in fog, a mistake which you avoided! Most people try to increase the contrast of their fog photos which he felt was wrong because it makes the fog look less foggy, he felt that if any thing we should decrease the contrast. Your photo looks VERY thick and foggy because of the low contrast. Great job :-)

A very different take on Nature.
It says so much in a soft, quiet way.
