Mono Monday Plus #9 (MM#23)

It's that time again.  Good thing I've been playing around with pics this week because, I'm just too tired to do much tonight.

I'm doing one of each.  The first, just a simple color change using picnik.com. The holga-ish feature.  I tend to like that one.

The second, a little more too it.  First, the pictures I worked with.

I worked with these in paint.net.  Layered, cropped, changed the color.  There is also a tool for effects.  I went to the photo effect and played with the warmth of the picture.

This is what I got.

After all of this, I went back one more time.  My friend at Walmart has printed these for me.  She didn't like them but, I  love them.  This is my final pic.  My favorite.

  1. All beautiful, but I like the first one of Brandy best.
The one of the bench is one of those shots that just looks better in b/w

  3. Maybe someday, Linda, but not just yet. Before I start getting fancy I want to work on basics....framing, lighting, " what does the camera do when I do this?" sort of stuff.

  7. Great conversions Linda, the bench looks good in that effect and as for Brandy I prefer the first layered one because you see more of her face there.

  15. I really like your first one. I have never tried the hogaish effect. I will have to try sometime as that turned out brilliant. And the other one, is just beautiful. I like the final cropped one, and it seems to not be as b&w... It is beautiful, and well, for your friend, some just don't know art when they see it. I had a child at the art museum tell me the deinition of art about a week ago... It was really cute. And she was very good. She told me that art is in the eye of the beholder, and that one person may see one thing and someone else something else. There is abstract art and then there is regular art... Hugs and just beautiful...
Thanks for stopping by mine and so sorry it took me so long to get here... lilangelwolf
