Picture Perfect-Repetition

repetition (plural repetitions)

  1. The act or an instance of repeating or being repeated.
  2. (weightlifting): A single, controlled exercise motion; also called a rep. A group of repetitions is a set.

The picture above was taken at my Aunt Flora's.  A place full of memories.  A place where my cousins and I played as children.  Running, jumping, a whole lot of yelling. LOL  Just having fun.  There have been many holidays spent here.  Numerous Easter egg hunts have been held here.  There were also broken bones, a busted head or two and any number of other small accidents.  A place of fun, laughter and love.

Our Children have played here.  And now, our children's children.  Three generations of childhood memories live in this place-"repetition"

  2. I've lived in so many places as a kid .. my father's job took us from BC, Manitoba, Ontario, the North West Territories and back to BC all before I was 10 years old. My daughter didn't see what I consider my hometown until just a few years ago. You're lucky to have this repetition through the generations. Very nice blog, Linda.

  3. We moved around a lot too Holly. My Dad is an electrician. Then when my parents divorced, we where always back and forth. My Aunt Shirley says this is why Society Hill is home to me and why I love it so much. It was the place that was always there. The place the family gathered. Guess my Aunt Shirley is a pretty smart chic.

  16. This is a part of our Southern culture LC...generations sharing the same teachers, same playgrounds,
    same hang-outs...
The kids we have parents were our buddies growing up...
A by gone age in most parts of the world...still treasured here.

  22. How cool is that? There is a place in my childhood that I took my children to and it changed so much I couldn't see it for what it once was. I'm glad to know there are some things in life that are constant. Great post. Thank you!
